Cross-border business people who have suffered losses know it well. When arranging air freight to middle east, the biggest worry is falling into low-price traps, with poor delivery time and no after-sales support. Don’t worry. Keep the following screening tips in mind, and you can easily pick a reliable freight forwarder.

1. Check qualification and company establishment years

First, check the business license and logistics qualification certification, then ask about warehouse distribution. Stay away from companies without a physical office.

To put it simply and directly, do not choose companies established for less than 5 years. The longer a company has been in business, the more advantages it has.

The freight forwarding industry is essentially an intermediary business with relatively low profit margins. A company that can operate steadily for a long time must have its own stable business rules.

2. Ask about full services to avoid hidden traps

Confirm whether they provide one-stop services from domestic pickup to overseas signature receipt. Cross out forwarders who only talk about low prices but avoid customs clearance and door-to-door delivery services.

More air routes do not equal professionalism. Forwarders focusing on specific routes can offer more guaranteed delivery time and reasonable prices.

Now there are many reliable enterprise inquiry platforms. You can use platforms like Tianyancha and Trust China, or official channels of market supervision bureaus. Check if the company has bad credit records, lawsuits or legal disputes.

3. Verify quotation to stay away from hidden costs

Ignore forwarders who cannot provide a detailed quotation list, and stay alert to extremely low-price temptation.

Always double-check for hidden fees before shipping goods. You can also talk about business details to test their professional ability.

Make a phone call to judge whether their sales staff are professional and patient in solving problems. Skip those with perfunctory attitudes.

After cooperation, a dedicated project group must be set up. Avoid forwarders with messy team division or only using personal social accounts for communication. Reliable forwarders use official enterprise accounts and arrange special staff for follow-up service.

It is more reliable to make direct contact. Making phone calls is okay, and face-to-face communication is better. Clarify your shipping needs and what commitments the forwarder can make.

You need to be cautious of companies that offer extremely low prices and claim to meet all kinds of demands. Companies that attach importance to both risk control and reasonable profits are more trustworthy. After all, making profits is the basic rule for every enterprise.

It is better to pay an on-site visit to the company. Check the staff scale, working environment and office location.

Take DL as an example. We have nearly 100 employees. We have fully purchased the entire 8th floor of Block B, Rongde Times Square in Longgang District.

We are nothing like small forwarders with only 3 to 5 people renting a small office of about 20 square meters. We rank among the top 3% in air freight to middle east. There is no reason for you to have any worries about cooperating with us.

Many new small freight forwarding companies have emerged after the pandemic. It does not mean small companies are not good. Some only have 2 to 3 staff working from home.

But once problems occur, such small companies have limited ability to resist risks, solve problems and handle unexpected situations.
